Additionally, the 19" W1953T monitor includes the FLATRON f-ENGINE&trade, which is an LCD picture enhancing chip that provides not only astounding color, but also superb contrast and image quality. The FLATRON f-ENGINE adjusts the contrast and brightness independently of each other to produce amazing images.
Cinema Mode
To make other, non-high definition content look better, the monitor is equipped with Cinema Mode. Video clips uploaded on web pages are in low resolution and pixels are distorted when the clips are viewed on a full screen. You could choose to watch them in their original, tiny mode — web banners and text and all. But why bother when Cinema Mode can create the ideal viewing environment for online clips by dimming the areas excluded in your mouse drag and helping you focus on what you're watching.
Sensitive construction
LG built a couple of important sensors into the W1953T PF monitor to help it work more efficiently. Auto Bright Sensor measures the amount of light in the area surrounding the monitor. After analyzing the brightness of ambient light and the data source, the monitor signals the backlight to create an optimized brightness that reproduces a clear image without causing eye strain. Live Sensor recognizes hands approaching the monitor and automatically turns on by a proximity sensor. This feature saves energy and contributes to the product life. Combined with the LCD technology in the panel, these functions help make this monitor an energy efficient product.
Ergonomics are important
Staring fixedly at a computer monitor for long periods can cause eyestrain, which can cause headaches and dry eyes. The W1953T PF features a Time Control function that helps prevent eye-strain. Just set the monitor to remind you at certain intervals to look away from the computer. The power button light will flash to let you know when you've reached your interval. Many ergonomics specialists recommend the 20/20/20 rule. Every 20 minutes, look at least 20 feet away from your computer for at least 20 seconds.
