I have been very impressed with this receiver, I replaced an old Kenwood KR-6030 time for an upgrade right?!? and it performs every bit as good as the Kenwood did.

This unit is crystal clear. High or low volume, it doesnt matter, and theres plenty of power.
Im running it through a pair of Carvin PM5 speakers and it sounds GREAT. I highly recommend this unit to anyone who wants good sound. Very easy to set up, program, etc. and the price is right. And with the excellent customer service from Vanns, you cant go wrong. They even included a pair of Sony speakers at no charge! My order shipped the same day and I received it in 2 business days just like the man said. Theres no reason to shop anywhere else.

I am putting together a two channel system for music only and have recently purchased the Jamo e770 tower speakers. Josh was instrumental on that decision. I found it difficult to pick a receiver to sufficiently drive the Jamos...you cant hear what your buying unless you buy them and review them in house. Grant it...Vanns gives no problem if you have to return. But it is costly. Josh recommended the Yamaha RS 500 on the information I gave him. The only Yamaha I have ever owned was a motor cycle. I have them hooked up to the Jamos and a Sony ES cd player. I had it in my mind I would have to purchase a sub later on but was I ever shocked! The sound blew me away. Compared to my theater system A kick butt Pioneer, Polk speakers including a powered sub The Yamaha is every bit as good. I dont need a sub...the low end rolls off so smooth so tight and so low its amazing. Thanks again JOSH! And thanks Vanns. Fantastic price and shipping. Im not kidding...you should hear this system!

I recently bought this unit for my home office. I'm using it to push a pair of Klipsch Icons, Cerwin Vegas VS-80s, and a 12 Klipsch sub. Music sounds great.

What I like about this unit is the simplicity of operation, which does nothing to detract from the excellent sound quality. The sound is crisp and clear and powers are Celestine 11 speakers more than adequately. The style is a throwback to the 1950s and 60s, when units were more functional in appearance.
