Google does not have a contract with any of the major networks, plus netflex did not work properly. Return is in the process for full reimbursement. This is not the fault of Vanns, except they should of known the Sony product doesnt work without cable or sat. Steve Pendleton

Ive had this unit for about two weeks and Im really happy about it so far. I still have yet to look at all of the different things it can do...there are so many! The Google TV feature is pretty cool and fairly well integrated so that you can search a program and it will tell you if it is on Cable TV, Netflix, Amazon, etc. The remote is OK for controlling the TV and cable as well as your reciever, but is limited on controlling advanced features. I like the QWERTY keyboard since it mimicks a typical smartphone setup if you are used to texting. Most of the features are user friendly too, but I will say the remote takes some getting used to. Im happy to be able to access Netflix without paying the XBOX Live annual fee...so thats a plus. Im sure there are tons more features that I havent yet seen, but so far I am very happy with the product. I dont yet have a 1080 p TV, just a 720, so I cant speak to the blu-ray picture, but given that it is Sony, Im sure it looks pretty good.

For a less than stellar techy this product is what you want. So far I have been very pleased with the ease of operability and small size. I am just amazed at what this product has done additionally to just watching television. I highly recommend this product.

Google TV is new and I think they have a few bugs to work out but so far the wife and I are pleased.
Setup is simple and it connects to our Dish Network perfectly. We did have to purchase a $4month fee from Dish to have the Google unit access our DVR... whatever. But once it was setup an update was already to be installed. We like this feature as we know that any bugs we find will be fixed because Google will constantly be updating thier software.
We use it to basically type in a search term Caddyshack, ESPN, Kevin Bacon, whatever and the device finds videos on the web, websites and television programs that pertain to your search. Its simple to use and gives you so many entertainment options.
The blue ray is beautiful and it plays DVDs of course. It controls our Dish DVR and our Onkyo amp perfectly. Its all internet based so itll control most devices you have in your entertainment system.
We use it for Netflix but this is the only big flaw weve found... to get sound on the Netflix Instant movies we have to reboot the Google unit. We have to do this about once a week. Im sure theyll have an update to fix this.
The fact that this has a full browser Google Chrome is awesome! We can browse any website we want and it supports Flash! We get our weather from it and our news and its just fun to browse the web on a big televsion.
We have a Google Picasa account and it allows us to view our family photos on our television through this device. Its a great feature.
We havent really played around with all of the other add-ons this Google TV has but we will.
Rumor has it that Google is working its Android Store into the software and it will be released in 2011. This is the ultimate entertainment device and its only looking to get better.
The salesperson at Vanns was very helpful and we are really delighted with our purchase.
