High-End A/V Jukebox
With the ability to hold 301 of your favorite DVDs and CDs, the DV727 lets you store your disc collection in a place that can also play it. The DV727 plays DVD-Video, CD, CD-R and Video CD discs, and does it with distinction through its 10-bit/27MHz Video D/A and 24-bit/96kHz Audio D/A converters. Finally, you can keep all of your discs in one place and have them up and playing with a couple of touches of the remote control. You can even attach another DV727 through the master/slave connection to control over 600 discs! So your system can expand as your disc collection expands. Take advantage of this exciting technology to help manage your DVD and CD collections.
Sorting Things Out
Sorting and filing your discs is easy with the DV727. You can plug in a keyboard and mouse to the unit and make entering disc names and artists a breeze. 20 custom files make for easy disc sorting. There are 10 Audio files and 10 Video files. So your DVDs and CDs are already divided for you. You could have custom files for your blues discs, while your spouse has a folder for jazz, and your son can have his very own file full of rock 'n roll discs. Or create a folder of music for a dinner party or bedtime music. You could also have an extensive DVD collection, sorted by genre, just like at the video store! It's really up to you and your imagination. The Joystick & Jog remote control make finding what you're looking for fast and easy.
Pile On The Extras
The DV727 not only holds a large number of discs, it also holds a large number of quality and convenient features. A component video output delivers superb DVD signals while coaxial and optical digital audio outputs carry the finest audio signals to your receiver or television sound system. This also provides a DTS (Digital Theater Systems) and Dolby Digital surround sound output. There are also S-Video, video and audio connections so you're covered in any home A/V system configuration. Advanced digital video noise reduction with film recognition and gamma control make for some outstanding images, and virtual Dolby Digital with SRS TruSurround really bring stereo sound to life.

What a great DVD! This thing has a lot of great features. I really like the Artist mode to store and retrieve the DVD you want. The unit remembers the disc if you take it out then replace it somewhere else. You do have to be careful about burn in on Plasma TV with the type of menu display it uses. I hooked up a cheap TV to scan menu out of the composite out. Then switch to the Big TV through my reciever to watch the movie. It is a small trade off to organize 300 discs of DVD or CD. There is no HDMI, but most good recievers will upsample video making it look better. In the Blu-ray era this unit has lots of places to improve. In the DVD arena it is great and invaluable for large DVD or CD collections.

Very easy to use. Does clunk sometimes when getting disc, but overall performance is wonderful. Only thing missing is HDMI. Gives a natural picture quality, excellent detail and sound is nice too. Hope endurance is better than what Ive experienced with Sony. This compares favorably with Sony CX995, although I got the Sony way cheaper.

I already had one of these units previously and I LOVE IT!! The reason why I chose this unit is because of the ability to daisy chain them together. You can just keep on going with your collection of music disc and or DVDs. I have it dedicated to just DVDs. Vanns is THE BEST online source out there. I ordered the unit on a Thursday Late afternoon and would have received it the next Tuesday had it not been for a major snow storm. NOT Vanns fault. Use Vanns, know Vanns, Depend on Vanns the are GREAT!!

Vanns sold me a refurbished unit originally that was received defective. Vanns made immediate arrangements at their cost to exchnage the product for one properly tested. Ive had the exchange unit for more than two weeks. Works great...lots of technical features I still havent used. The only down side is the unit will not display the title of most of the disks inserted unless you type them in using keyboard. Most all functions can be controlled from the remote from the comfort of your couch or bed. I did purchase the extended three year warranty at a much lower price than any retail store would have charged me. Looking forward to future business with Vanns

The installation was very simple and came with all the needed cables and Manual. The Vanns representative were very helpful in making the purchase and it was shipped and packed very well to avoid any damage during shipment.
The changer takes time to load and play. The entering text for each CdDvd takes time if you use the Players button but it came be fairly easy if you use the keyboard to connect with the player. Dont shake the player once you have loaded all the discs or else it will be very hard to rearrange them.
Overall it is a good player for CDs but lack of HDMI output does not allow 1080i or 1080p resolution to be played on HighDef TV.
I am happy overall with this machine lets see how many hours of play I get out of this troublefree. The only other concern is that there is very bright blue light indicator when the player is on which can be little distractive while playing a movie.
I am happy that I made this purchase from Vanns- they are simply the best company to buy online.

Absolutely love this! It is the second on I bought and love the capability to hook them together to make on 601 dvdcd jukebox. Also works well wil my Pioneer Elite Sc07 controling everything with one remote. Plus the fact that you can connect a mouse to it to input titles is the frosting on the cake!

I have owned this DVD Changer for almost 4 years. I have loved every minute of it. It is the most user freindly changer on the market. I am now looking to purchase an additional unit since I have filled up my current player. This unit has never had one problem playing a DVD, CD, CD-R, Karaoke CD, etc... It has changed the way my family views movies. We now watch them more often because it is so easy to access them with the changer. Loading a disc is a breeze also, use a keyboard for your initial set-up it speeds things along and the remote for additional disc after that. It has all the bells and whistle that you want search cappabilities and 20 item soritng for your different disc. It has a great picture and audio. I can not say enough about this system. Just Awesome. I will buying another one this Christmas. Enjoy!
