No more digging through your collection of CDs to find the one you want to listen to. With this 300 disc changer, all of your CDs are waiting to be played at a moment's notice. And this model features CD-R/RW Playback, so you can mix in your homemade discs as well as your commercial CDs. With all your favorite music already loaded in your CD changer, you can listen to your favorite songs from your favorite artists without even having to get out of your favorite chair to find a CD or load one in your player. They're all in there already. With this changer, the music plays on and on.
Once you get all of your CDs loaded in the changer, you may wonder how you keep track of them all and find those you want to play. Well, you get several little "helpers" to take care of the task. The twin jog dial gives you easy, fast disc access. The Custom File memory function helps you keep track of your CDs by letting you enter disc titles into a special built-in memory. When a disc is loaded, its name appears on the front panel display. The 32-Step Program Play system lets you plug in the tracks you want to hear, so you can program, and then relax to an evening of your favorite tunes. Whatever you have in mind, you have all the tools you need to organize your CDs. And, you can orchestrate from your couch with the supplied Remote Commander remote control.
Some CDs are now embedded with CD text for disc names, artist names and track names. With these discs and the CD Text feature on this CD changer, the text information automatically pops into the display. CD Text is easy, highly informative and great for keeping track of your music collection. For CDs not encoded with CD text, the information can be easily added to your CD changer's memory by using the PC keyboard input (keyboard not included).
It's easier than ever to record your music onto MiniDisc. The optical digital output connects a MiniDisc recorder for pure digital-to-digital compilations of your favorite tracks, and Sony's Control A1 automatically downloads CD Text information to a compatible MD recorder. The optical digital output is also a great way to connect to your A/V receiver if you have an available optical digital input. The digital output on this player also supports the growing number of CDs with DTS multi-channel digital surround sound. Just connect to an A/V receiver with a built-in DTS decoder to enjoy the spectacular multi-channel sound of these CDs.

They have excellent delivery output service. They have prompt and courteous service. This is a great product for anyone having many cds. I only loaded the cds into the changer once or few times. I can type in what each cds album name so I know what cd I'm listening to. It includes a remote to changed to the next cd. I would benefit most from this product. This product is great for music enthusiasts. I like most that its brand is SONY. This productbrand is best to me and other brands are below SONY.

Works great , exactly as we hoped. This is not an audiophile unit, but we knew that before we bought it. What an easy and excellent way to make use of all the discs we aquired over the years. Don't have to worry about storage and now listening to these discs is easier than turning on the radio.

This is an older product, but a good one. Not everyone has music on MP3s, and this player holds 300 CDs in a selectable carousel, with some great programmable options. The sound is good, and there are output choices such as analog, digital, optical. You can also, if you are really obsessive, chain another CD player into it! Some of my older CDs stick occasionally in this player, but all the more recent ones play without sticking. So the player part is somewhat picky... Presumably these are not being made any more, but the Sony Warranty system accepted my product serial number and registered. Very good value for money. R Stewart

Over the years I've collected a lot of CDs but changing them every 5 discs was annoying. When my changer started having problems I looked for one that had more capacity and found the Sony 300 disc player. Loved the idea - its like having my own Juke Box. It was easy to set up and load and I'm loving it.! Its great to listen to entire CDs or shuffle, depending on my mood, and I love the ability to group CDs by type. If I'm having a C&W day, a classical day or wanting to relive the 50s and 60s, I can do it easily without having to open up dozens of jewel boxes and load up 5 at a time like I did before. I've only had it a short while so I'm sure there are bells and whistles yet to be discovered when I have the time to play with it. But even on a basic level, its made my work room a musical destination. Highly recommend it for anyone who still plays CDs instead of plugging in to an IPod!

Setup was easy. Good looking appearance. Like the feature of playing multiple Disks and having continuouse playing for hours. That was the draw to purchase the product. Did get a bit suspcious when I found out the product was made in 2002 thus a 10 year old player. And since it was an open box product the remote had the battiers in it which were dead. Was obviously a returned product. I did put in 10 cds to try the multiple disk play. It did not play the second CD automatically had to advance it myself with the remote. Same on and on. Every disk had several skips and stoppings. Will return the product

We bought this CD changer to replace another Sony CDP-CX350 that we had used for around 10 years and it finally died. We received the CD Player promptly from Vanns in record time, but when we tried to get organized and move our CDs from the old changer to the new changer, the unit didnt work. Frustrated, I called Vanns and they gave us a Return No and free return label. Luckily I had saved the original box and packing materials so it was a sinch to return. After much thought, we decided to go digital with our music and decided not to replace the player. Vanns credited our account in the amount we paid for the player and everything is good now. Great customer service, I wouldnt hesitate to use Vanns in the future.

After doing my research, the Sony 300 disk Megachanger fits my needs nicely. Finally I can pick any of my CDs and play them without looking through all the cases. Its convient to group the CDs into Swing, Easy Listening, Jazz, Christmas, etc. The enclosed Manual was easy to follow to figure things out. Works very well. I would also like to say that I was extremely pleased with my experience with Vanns. They handled the order well and shipped it promptly---packed extremely well. Good job Vanns!

Its a little tricky trying to figure out all the sorts and labeling but not to bad. The player itself is very touchy when it comes to the CDs they must be in great shape or they will stick in one spot I have another NEC CD player and when a CD would stick I would test it in the same spot in the NEC 90 of the time the NEC would over sample it and move on.with that being said make sure your CDs are in very good shape. What can one say. Put your CDs in, and your done. No more handling and scratching your media. Once its in, it safe. Great addition to the home entertainment equipment. Play one CD or all 300. It beats over the air radio, there are no commercials. Its cheaper that XM and with the shuffle feature it will be several days before you hear the same song twice.
This is the third changer I have bought. I have one in my house that is used daily. Just sold an RV with an older one in, and bought this one to put in the new RV. All my original CDs are in the house. All my copies are in this one, in the new home on wheels. Life is good. See you ion the road. Were the ones rocking out
Vanns is definately my choice for electronics. They are great to work with and there prices usually cant be beat anywhere.

This is my second Sony 300 disc changer. I now have a 600 CD Computer controlled jukebox. Sonys S-link remote control capability and the Cx355 second CD controlled audio input switching combine into one seamless massive player! ...you do need second party interface and software for the computer control... Three of these 300 disc players can be daisy- chained together with or without the computer interface. Sony designed them to choose and send the correct audio output to your amplifier. My Sony CX355s Have great sounding digital to analog converters. I think the sound is superior to the converters in my receiver. These units run for days and I have never had one jam up or damage a disc. Keep the unit level and never move it when it is full of discs....LD50

Purchased the subject unit for playing music for church services. It replaces an older Sony CD PlayerChanger which was just plain wearing out. New units operation is very quiet - the cd holder rotates very quitely - and its response is very rapid. We use it in a program mode, and the elapsed time in advancing to the next selection in any given program is very minimal. Members of congregation also appreciate improved clarity and fidelity of sound.

I was totally amazed at what this unit was supposed to do, for so little money. Well, I got started, labeling some CDs with a keyboard I went out and bought just for this unit. Then I found out this player would not recognize some of my CDs and others it would distort the first few seconds of the song. I tried these CDs on a Denon I have and they played flawlessly. So I contacted Vanns and they said I gotta call Sony first. Oh.... I sure hated to do that knowing I would be dealing with an automated system, and then probably on hold for quite some time. Well, I endured only to find out that the technician said the machine should work flawlessly and that either my CDs are no good, or I am no good at using it. After gently arguing with him, I finally got him to admit that since these CDs play on another player, that maybe, just maybe, I may have a faulty manchine. But the tech continued to assure me that this Sony player is not at fault. Oh well, at least when I called Vanns, they were willing to entertain the thought that I did indeed have a faulty unit. Vanns paid for my return postage and quickly determined that it was defective and my credit card was very very quickly refunded. Hats off to Vanns. I ended up getting a Carousel Dennon changes for over twice the price of this Sony. Dont hesistate to order this Sony from Vanns, as you will probably get one that works just fine. And if in the remotest chance it doesnt, Vanns will be there to help. Just pick a day you have an abundance of patience if you have to call Sony.

I was very happy with the quality of the Sony 300-Disk CD player. I have owned this item as well as the 200-disk player before. They lasted many years. I recommend removing all of the disks before moving the item, because if the player tilts, and the disk move out of place, the player is a gonner. Believe me! I will never move the player with the disks in it again. Love my Sony multi-disk player!! You never have the tend to it, and the shuffle is GREAT! Also, Vanns sent my order quickly and was a great value.

Great unit for storing library of music. When you need to take a cd out , simply jog to the desired disc and remove. Inputting text for each disc was easy with keyboard if disc wasnt already text ready.I ordered this unit on a Sunday and received on Wednesday.

I like the fact that it held 300 cds and the price was good. But.....I wont play a lot of my cds that play in a normal cd player even new discs. It even craked some of my cds im very angry and unsatisfied with this product.

This is an excellent performing CD Player. Not only does it produce quality sound, it is also reliable. This is my second purchase of this particular model as my first lasted well over 10 years. With 300 disc capacity it could be overwhelming to manage playing of discs. However, this is managed nicely by the assignment of 8 separate groupings that can be used like 8 separate multi-disc players.

My recent purchase of Sonys CDP-CX355 multi CD Player has been THE answer to organizing and playing my CDs. I like the fact that it allows me to organize I know longer have to sort through hundreds of jewel cases and play my CDs in groupings, programs and hits in the way I program them. The ability to connect my computer keyboard to enter and label older CD titles is very useful. Finally, no longer due I have to listen to my wife say skip this song CD when listening. Although I have not used another multi-CD changer Sonys is easy to use and the price was very reasonable. I would not hesitate to recommend it.

This unit replace one about 4.5 years old and used for several hours each day linked to another identical unit. The cool thing about that is you can set them to run at random setting and there is no delay and there is fade-in and fade out as the track checnges to the other machine. Before I bought this replacement, I considered the options since all my tunes are backed on MP3 tracks. I ddint want to have to use a computer to keep it simple for my wife and me and I didnt want to to lose the advantages of linking it with another Sony player as described above. So if I have to replace each unit after about 5 yrs of moderate use, at a cost of about $170 each...thats fine..life is good..nothing lasts forever...the repair cost would have been $114 plus shipping.

Purchasing this 300 disc player was the best decision I could have made. I owned a 5 disc player which out lived its use. When you own 250-300 cds there is no place to put them. This machine stores every one and I can play cds all day and never touch the recorder but once.When I want to play just one cd,the Twin jog gives me easy access to the one cd of my choice. I like the 300 CDs that I can load and listen all day and night. This machine would do wonders for anyone that likes music as I do.

The first thing I would like to say is that I was extremely pleased with my experience with Vanns. From sales and customer service to tech support evryone was courteous, informed and helpful. One would think that all of those things should be taken for granted but some recent experiences have taught me that is not always the case. As for the product itself I'd have to say my opinion is yet to be completely formed. The unit did not work properly and I had to return it. As far as can be determined the unit was damaged in transit. I am waiting for my refund to be processed and am more than likely to order another of the same unit once the refund is complete although I have some doubts about the durability of a unit that cannot withstand normal shipping. But my confidence in Vanns is so strong that I do not doubt they will handle to my total satisfaction any problems that might occur. Thats the kind of confidence which turns people into regular ciustomers and makes them refer a company to others. Vanns can be certain of both on my part.

This Sony 300 disc mega-player without question provides the biggest bang for the entertainment buck you will ever find. If you have read this far, STOP. Just order the unit NOW. You will not be disappointed. This unit replaces the same unit which has soldiered on in heavy daily use for over 5 years, predominantly in random-shuffle play. It is a companion unit to another Sony 300 disc player nearly as old and used almost as much in my studio. This unit is nearly bulletproof when you consider the mechanical demands of randomly playing up to 300 CDs for hours, days, weeks, months and years on end. Load all of your CDs, hit play, make an Excel spreadsheet to list them and enjoy years of great sound with no problems and no clutter of empty CD cases and destroyed and misplaced CDs. You will be able to really use your music collection that you have spent so much to accumulate in ways you never imagined because it is so easy to use and play. I hardly ever listen to the radio anymore because putting this unit on random or shuffle play gives me the most perfect station ever. It plays all my favorites all the time without ever playing anything I dont like.
5 years ago this Sony replaced a series of chronically problematic Pioneer units I had and I never have looked back. The features are more than I can ever use. Plus the sound quality is so much better. When you consider Vanns pricing for this unit and its projected lifespan it works out to pennies a day to have such a valued machine perform such an essential and repetitive task and it is a mystery to me why every home does not have at least one of these great units.
I wish I could give a higher rating for this unit since it has been so flawless in its performance.
Replacing the worn-out unit was truly a no-brainer. Nothing lasts forever, but this unit comes close.

I was looking for something a bit larger than the 6 disc changer I had and stumbled upon this unit. Im quite please with the 300 disc capacity, more room than I need right now but always adding. The machine works well and the manual is easy to read. It loads easily and plays well. One complain, when in all disc shufle mode once in a while it will go searching for a new song to play and seems to get lost. Some times it takes up to 20 minutes between song. Not often but once in a great while.

After my old Technics multi CD changer quit, I purchased the Sony CX 355. I has worked perfectly thus far. Installation and setup was easy. It is a big unit so make sure to measure your available space. I had to move a shelf. Loading is a little time consuming. The instructions are very clear and easy to understand.

The Sony CDP-CX355 is the second Ive had a chance to use over a 4 year period. It usually works well and offers enough flexibitity to satisfy anyone with a medium sized CD collection, but not ready to graduate to full-fledged i tunes mode.
Loading is easy, selection and playing fine enough, and if you are patient you can catalogue and sort your library in several ways. The computer keyboard interface is a big help over the one letter entry at a time method. The remote has all the functions necessary to get full function playing.
I have encountered some problems with laser reader skipping and initializing after several years of use. Expensive factory repair quotes make it easier to replace the unit rathert than to send it to Sony for fix or exchange.
You cant beat the Vanns price and free shipping via FedEx.

Two of these units were purchased as an alternative to using network area strorage. The concept is that we have access to all of our CDs and can add 200 more. These changers cable together so one remote will control both units. Grouping could be easier and more efficient otherwise we are pleased with the purchases

I recently purchased a sony 300 cd changer from vanns- To my surprize there were no shipping fees. I reviewed alot of these on several websites and Vanns was the least expense. I was very happy with the shipping time. Since I live so far away it took a little longer to get, but it was the time frame that vanns said it would take. I would definitely buy from vanns again. I am happy I found their website. By the way the cd changer plays great and I am extremely happy.

Great cd player. Full featured, including display of embedded cd information that includes CD Title ans current song title with details. Easy setup. Remote control is also easy to use. I currently have it connected to my JVC surround sound receiver, and it sounds great.

The cd player works well. I was a little disapointed in the amount of work that has to be done to set everything up. Once that is complete it is so nice to just turn it on not have to worry about any intervention. It also helps to organize your music.

Very convenient to have all my CDs ready to play. Random takes a little longer between tracks but I expect it to search all those discs. I did not know the text input is limited to 13 characters. Kind of a damper on bands with long names. Sounds good. For some reason it reads a blank half second on a Rod.&Gab. CD, where another player does not. The CD is brand new. People comment on how big it is. It is an imposing figure near the receiver, but shouldnt it be? 300 discs in one spot, nice. The remote is a functional as one could want.

I have read all the negative comments about the unit, but it really is the only unit out there that does what this one does. I purchased this player a little over a month ago. It holds 300 CDs, but so far I only have about 110 in it. It is easy to find each CD by number and play whatever track one desires. It is hooked up to my MacIntosh receiver and Im having no problems with it. I recommend it to anyone who had a large CD collection that would like to have them all available. I use an Excel spreadsheet that has each CD listed by the slot in the deck. Makes for easy finding.

The Sony CDP-CX355 300 disc CD changer is exactly what we needed! The player holds our whole night music collection and allows us to choose a different disc to fall asleep to every night.
The keyboard interface allows you to label each selection in the carousel for easy archiving and later grouping as you desire. The player is so smooth & quiet that you dont hear it even when changing discs.
Anyone with a large CD collection will love this product. We looked around, but no other brands compared in features and quality and Vanns had the best price and shipping. Exceptional care was taken in packaging to insure the product arrived at our door quickly and undamaged.
We highly recommend this changer.

The first one I bought lasted just under 3 years. The 3 year extended warrantee covered free carry-out replacement and it was quick, friendly and easy. The replacement lasted just past the one year factory warrantee. Both units worked very well up to the point of failure-constantly seeking a cd to play but not playing. It is a very nice unit, my Sony 250 CD unit has lasted over 10 years, very easy to set-up, has a delete mode to eliminate tracks, many nice features, but I highly recommend a 5 year warrantee. All 5s, but a 1 overall due to reliability and longevity. Seems to have a defect in this model. I do highly recommend Vanns, which I have sworn by since the 90s.

The Sony 300 is the best purchase that i could have made. I was running out of room in my house for all the cd's that i have. The ease of operation is great. i have even been able to teach my children how to use it. The price was the main factor in my purchase, i could not find one for that price anywhere else. I bought this product after researching cabinet hardware to store my CD's. It was less expensive to store CD's in the Sony CD player than it was to buy the hardware for my cabinet! I love this product. It was easy to set up the keyboard attachment was key and easy to use. I'm still getting the hang of the remote after having a 5 disc changer that was manual. The machine itself is HUGE very deep Make sure you get the measurements before you buy. I had to put mine in the cabinet sideways, not ideal but with the remote it's doable. I love the fact that you can shuffle play within each group. I am listening to a greater variety of music because of this.

the biggest benefit I have experienced with this unit, which I have had in operation for over half a year, is the group function assignment. I put all my non-popular CD's that I never used to listen to at all in a 5 disc changer, into gruop 7 and I find I listen to group 7 full random play all the time and get to hear all kinds of music I bought over the years that I liked, but had long since quit putting into play. This unit really allows me to select music I wnat to hear for all moods.
As far as some of the complaints I read about before I bought regarding skipping and the like I have not had any problems so far. however I have always taken very careful care of my discs. And I make copies for the car so the masters stay put.

This Sony 300 disc cd player is the best one that I have come across. The sound is fantastic. The cd's were easy to load. Connecting the changer was simple. Anyone that wants the ease of play multiple cd's without having to change after each cd plays would benefit from this purchase. This cd player is reasonably priced. After comparing prices with 8 other stores, this was the most reasonbly priced store.

I purchased this player for Christmas. I hooked it up and was suprised to find out how easy it was to use. I specialy like to key board hook up to label the disks as you load them. This is a great feature! After loading all my CDs I found out I will need another one soon. I would definately recomend this player to anyone who is thinking about purchasing one.

I finally got my Mega player set up with all my CDs. Easy to load CDs and text info and to operate. The "group" function makes it great to categorize your collection. Dual dials makes it easy to add text and find a CD or track. I recommend this to anyone wanting to keep their collection in one spot without the hassle of loading and reloading CDs. Plenty of room for all my cd's. Now have to find a place to store all those empty cases. The player works as advertised. Have not typed in all the labels yet. Only thing I wonder is if all labels are lost on power outage. Nothing mentioned in paperwork, but I assume it won't be. Find it helpfull to leave a list with cd names and the slot they are in near the player. Much easyer to set up play back. The unit was deeper than I thought, and had to cut out rear of cabnet. Once it is totally set up, It should maintance free.
