First let me start by saying No, these arent the most inexpensive speakers you could buy, but I always believe you get what you pay for and for this price-point these speakers are amazing. Dont bother with the other so-called high-end speakers unless you have $2-3,000.00 dollars to blow, because these are just as good. I have an ONKYO TX-NR809, also purchased here, and a set of Acoustic Research AR428PS tower speakers purchased several years ago, also amazing speakers only available for a short time. I use the towers for my front lr and the Polks for my surround with a Polk DSWPRO 550WI 10 wireless sub for 7.1 surround. Ive never experienced anything like it, the sound envelopes you and it can get really loud! Its like you are there in the middle of all the action. If you are thinking of spending your hard earned cash on speakers, dont short yourself, spend a little extra dough on these speakers, or youll be hating yourself later.
